All homes typically have double pane windows and 2x6 wood framing, giving us excellent overall insulation which has definitely been cost effective insofar as utilities. This construction has the added advantage of providing excellent soundproofing between attached housing units and from outside noise.

Because of the moderate climate in Prescott, many homes do not have air-conditioning, which drastically reduces the annual electric bill. Most of these homes have radiant in-floor heat, which has proven to be very cost effective.

Photovoltaic solar panels have been installed on several homes, since we have the perfect conditions for these systems.
